EXPERIMENT POMEGRANATE MODEL
Model
Year: 2018
Nature has already ‘’designed’’ a lot for us and this is something that we can use to, for example, to solve problems or use as an starting point for our designs and inspire us with new textures and colors.
I started to analyze materials from nature, looking into the structure, texture, color and properties. When peeling a pomegranate, I was really interested in the structure from the inside. I disassociated the pomegranate into different part and looked what it all consists of and tried to draw with the juice. A pomegranate is a fruit from nature which con-sist of a geometric shape, an Octahedron. Because we cannot see much with the naked eye, I went to see the parts under a microscope. Here I discovered beautiful patterns I have never seen before and was really fascinated by this.

I translated these patterns and shapes in an interactive exhibition space where the visitors crawl into the skin of a pomegranate and experience an exciting adventure with movement, light and color
